This is my take on the March’s ScrawlrBox challenge 2018 "Magic potions" and my thoughts on the provided art supplies.
I got super excited when I opened the box and saw the glittery metallic pens. So pretty! I choose to draw a cup of green tea, because that is the only magic potion I need. “3 cups a day. Everyday” ☕️❤️.

My thoughts on the supplies
The Koh-I-Noor Magic Pencil is interesting since it’s multi coloured. I found that it sometimes made really cool colour combinations, and sometimes not so cool. I am not a huge fan of the “multi coloured pen” concept since I usually want to know what I get so I can control the outcome.. #controlFreak #perfectionist
The Pentel Hybrid Dual Metallic Gel Pen is quite lovely and super smooth to draw with! The colours appear differently depending on background. On white paper the blue pen is blue with a tint of green, and the purple pen is purple with a tint of blue. On dark paper, the blue pen is green and the purple pen is blue. Basically, on a darker background the “base color” of the pens disappears and leaves only the tint.
The Kuretake Wink of Luna Brush, Metallic Green does not have that metallic look you might expect. It looks rather flat in my opinion. However, in combination with the blue Pentel Hybrid Dual Metallic Gel PEN it will get that green, metallic look.
The Pilot V5 Hi-Tecpoint is super nice (I really like pens like this). It’s good for thin lines and details. For larger areas you might want a broader pen since this is only 0.5mm.
