Collecting, storing, using

I have no interest in collecting unnecessary information about you. I will only collect the information you provide me with and handle it with care.

I am only using your personal data in the context it was intended and I am not sharing your personal data with a third party.

Note that if you submit anything via the forms on this site and something goes wrong, a log file will be placed on the server with the error message and the data you provided. The reason for this is so I can troubleshoot the problem and solve it. When solved, the log file will be removed.

Contact

When you send me a message through the contact form, an email is sent to me with the information you provided. The information will be stored within my email system just like any regular email.

When you send a message, you agree to the following:

  • Storage of your name (required).
  • Storage of your email (required).
  • Storage of you message (required).

Comments

When you submit a comment, an email is sent to me with the information you provided. I will manually go through your comment and either accept it or reject it.

  • If accepted, your data is being transferred to a database and displayed on the page you were commenting on.
  • If rejected, your data is being removed from my system all together.

When you submit a comment, you agree to the following:

  • Storage and publishing of your name (required).
  • Storage of your email (optional).
  • Storage and publishing of your website address (optional).
  • Storage and publishing of you comment (required).

If there are some information you do not want me or the rest of the world to know about; Please do not submit it. If you do not want me to store and publish the optional fields, simply omit them when submitting your comment.

Your email address will never be published. It’s only used in the following scenarios:

  • If someone (including admin) is replying to one of your comments, you will get an email notification. If you omit your email, you will not get notified.
  • If you want to delete one or more comments, your email is used to confirm the removal. If you omit your email, you cannot get your comment deleted.

How to delete your personal data

To remove an email you have sent me, simply reply to our previous conversation and inform me you want to have your data removed.

To remove a comment you have submitted, here is what you should do:

  • Send me an email and let me know you want your comment removed. Include the following:
    • The title or URL of the article you have commented on.
    • The name you used when commenting or an excerpt of the comment (just so I can identify the right comment).
  • After receiving your request I will (within 30 days) send an confirmation to the email address associated with the comment.
    • If it is approved, the comment will be deleted.
    • If it is not approved (or If there is no email address associated with the comment) the comment will not be deleted.
