This is a short, complementary post to my speedpaint of the April's ScrawlrBox challenge, Quiet morning. Be sure to check it out on my youtube channel.
Supplies in the box
- Derwent Graphitint Pencil (x6)
- Maped XPert Eraser
- Artline Pencil Case (not shown in the picture above)
- Derwent Single Hole Metal Sharpener
- Norfolk Cartridge Paper (150gsm)
Personal thoughts of the supplies
The Derwent Graphitint Pencil are alright. The colours have a “down to earth” kind of look. With that I mean they are not super bright. The white color did not show at all for me. I wanted to add some highlights on top of the other colours but without success.
The Maped XPert Eraser did not completely erase the color from the Derwent Graphitint Pencil. It does however erase regular graphite without any issue.
The Artline Pencil Case is made of plastic and feels kind of cheap. It wouldn’t be my first choice if I were to purchase a are pencil case.
The Derwent Single Hole Metal Sharpener does sharpen the pencils. It is lightweight and feels more like plastic than metal to me. I am not a huge fan.
The Norfolk Cartridge Paper (150gsm) will probable crumble if used with too much water. Even if I didn’t use that much water in my painting, I still feel it began to crumbled a bit.
